Thank you for visiting my campaign website. I am running
for re-election because I am proud of the work I have
done at the State Capitol. With your help, I will
continue my fight for fully funded public schools,
healthy kids, an affordable community and business
and economic opportunities for all of Fort Bend’s
hard working families.
Now more than ever, we need an experienced legislator
in Austin who shares our values and understands
the needs of our community. For over 33 years, as
a public school teacher, grassroots activist, lawyer
and elected official – I have strived to make
sure our fast growing community didn’t leave
anyone behind.

Recent News
Dora Olivo has been a member of the Texas House of
Representatives since 1997 and represents one of the
State’s most diverse districts. District 27
encompasses about half of the fast-growing Fort Bend
County. Education, childcare, economic development,
mental health, senior citizen issues and workforce
and job-training are areas of special interest to
her.
